The MS 162 gasoline-powered chainsaw is STIHL’s reliable entry-level model for demanding users. It is recommended for cutting firewood and smaller garden maintenance tasks. Due to its favorable weight and load capacity, it is also suitable for felling smaller trees.

The STIHL-developed 2-MIX engine ensures excellent cutting performance with low fuel consumption. Precise cuts and a clean cutting result are provided by the 3/8″ P saw chain.
