The high-performance STIHL 4-MIX® engine is a patented four-stroke engine that runs on a fuel mixture. It does not require oil changes, making it simpler to operate and maintain. The STIHL BT 131 features a single-handed multifunction handle that includes all the essential controls for operating the engine. This ensures safe handling, as the operator’s hand always remains on the handle. The vibration-dampened frame protects the user’s arms. The auger is equipped with a large padded support that rests against the operator’s body during drilling, allowing precise control of the machine. If the auger bit gets stuck in the ground, the operator’s thigh activates the QuickStop drill brake, immediately stopping the gear rotation.
